Description
Buzzers
Buzzers imitate pupae of midge and chironomids and form a large part of the trout’s diet, especially early in the season. They are tiny insects, and trout gorge on them, especially, after a “hungry winter”.Trout feed on buzzers all year round, but the most active times are early in the season, springtime when temperatures begin to rise and continue into the summer. The midge pupa lives in different habitats, on the lake bottom, mainly in muddy areas, and begin to hatch as the spring moves slowly.
Chironomids can cover various sizes and colours. Click here to see our range of most popular proven patterns of Buzzers.
