Description
Lady G Pheasant Tail Nymph
The pheasant tail nymph mimics a large variety of aquatic insects that many fish, like trout and grayling, feed over. It is one of the most used flies in rivers and stream.
Conceived and created by the English riverkeeper and fly-fisherman Frank Sawyer, this pattern one of the oldest still used nowadays.
This pattern is most productive when allowed to sink close to the river bed on a dead drift and then gently raised in the water to imitate the behaviour of the natural insect, like the mayfly emerger.
Lady G pheasant tail nymph is a great pattern for trout and works particularly well for grayling; the sparkle pink spot is very attractive.
Tungsten Bead Nymphs
The tungsten plays a crucial role to let the nymph sink.
Nymphs with large beads play them best in deep and fast water, while nymphs with small bead are more suitable for shallow or slow water or to be used as a dropper.
